The Singapore Treaty on the Law of Trademarks (hereinafter "Singapore Treaty") came into force with respect to the Russian Federation on December 18, 2009.

The Singapore Treaty creates a modern and dynamic international framework for the harmonization of administrative trademark registration procedures. Building on the TLT 1994, the Singapore Treaty has a wider scope of application and addresses new developments in the field of communication technology.
