Wipo Summer School: Intellectual property as a tool for sustainable development

At the day of July 15 on the basis of the Baltic Federal University named after I. Kant hosted the opening of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Summer School.



The summer school is organized in cooperation with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property (RGAIS) and with the participation of the Kaliningrad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The school participants are young specialists, graduate students and students from different cities of Russia: Kaliningrad, Moscow, Krasnoyarsk, St. Petersburg, Tver, Novosibirsk, Tomsk, Taganrog, as well as Belarus and Syria.



The program consists of lectures delivered by leading WIPO, RGAIS and national experts in the field of IP, as well as workshops, business games and discussions in discussion groups on selected topics in the field of IP.

The WIPO Summer School provides an opportunity for all interested parties to deepen their knowledge in the field of intellectual property, to evaluate intellectual property as an instrument of economic, social, cultural and technological development.

In accordance with the Summer School program participants will discuss issues of copyright, international, patent law, as well as the main IP strategies in pressing issues of law.
